First day of spring

Can’t believe that the last blog entry was before the election! Four and a half months ago. It has been a long cold winter. Time at home has been spent dealing with health, family, organizing, learning about Facebook, figuring what the future is going be. (Also going to Albany and Washington DC lobbying for the arts and for the performance royalty! Something new for me.)  Right now I am in the studio a couple of days a week rerecording my catalog. So far I have done: Cracking, Marlene on the Wall, Makes Me Wonder, Penitent, World Before Columbus, New York Is A Woman, Calypso, Luka.  More later!!

Message from Suzanne!

Hi Towies:

Thanks for writing in last week! It was great doing David Letterman last week, they were very gracious. They didn't refer to 9-11 during the whole show - it was a conscious decision on their part - they said they wanted our performance to be a "beautiful, subtle reference" and I appreciated that they chose us to do that. We got a good response from all over the country (and the world, actually!) and thanks to all you guys who wrote in!

I know I said I was going to keep a tour diary and I am - I have been playing around with the iWeb software, which is so much fun! I want to make something really cool so hold on tight and we will create a link from the Suzannevega.com website to my personal iWeb blog and I can upload all kinds of stuff from my own computer. So hang tight. Come out and see us on the road.

With affection,
