Solitude Standing
To be honest, this is my absoloute favourite album by Suzanne Vega. I don't know if any of you agree, but "Luka" and "Solitude Standing" are my favourites on the album. I like the fact that they made the instrumental version of "Tom's Diner" which stands out right at the end. This album shows Suzanne at her ultimate best with her folkish vocals and instruments mixed in with industrial-like music. Suzanne, you are just brilliant!

Beauty & Crime
NY is a Woman. This song really hit home with me and thus I was sucked right into the rest of the new album. This particular song has a depth, tenderness and sadness that is hard to describe. I was staggered by it's effect. It's no surprise that I've been listening to Suzanne's music since the beginning even if there are periods where that style of listening is not my focus. A guitarist in her band for sometime, Billy Masters, is an old friend from Westchester and his involvement helped keep me interested in the project. Even so, Suzanne's music is the type of art that you might ignore for awhile, but when it comes back into your world and back onto your radar, it makes you smile and wonder why you ever went away. As a guitarist myself, I can appreciate the writing on many levels. All I can say is thanks for all the fantastic work over the years and keep it going. I doubt you could stop even if you tried ..!!

Retrospective
I listened to Suzanne Vega 20 years ago for awhile. Then lost track of her music until recently purchasing Retrospective. What an awesome collection. Suzanne is a truly unique talent - Retrospective will be a lifelong favorite. A classic 5 stars CD!!

Songs in Red and Gray
I found a copy of Suzanne Vega's album, "Songs in Red and Gray", in one of my parents drawers. Right when I played it in my boombox, I immediately fell in love with the music. I played it over and over again all the time (it's not the kind of music you get sick of hearing). Her music (especially from this particular album) is just so great and unique. You just don't find many talented artists as original as Suzanne Vega these days.

Beauty & Crime
Had this album for a while. I find it first a very short album, but very deep and meaningful. Each time I play it there is always something new, something I missed in the corners. Play it many times, never sounds the same.
99.9F
I love everything she's done, but 99.9 F just stands out to me for some reason. It shows Suzanne at her most ambitious, blending folk with industrial-esque music. Almost every song on here stops me and makes me listen the entire way through. Songs like the title track and "In Liverpool" showcase what an amazing writer she is. Other albums such as "Solitude Standing" and "Nine Objects Of Desire" are just as good, but I decided to pick 99.9F this day lol Location: Amazing!!!
