I was hoping to see her at Jupiter's on the Gold Coast, here in Australia. Unfortunately, we have just moved house. As a result, we have bills coming out our ears! Disconnection fees from our old house, new connection fees for our new house, overdue bills from our old house and new monthly bills for our new house. It is really upsetting and disappointing that I just can't afford to see her, despite my strong desire to be at that live performance.

Will she ever come back to Australia? I just can't bear the thought that I might never get to see her live. :(

I saw Suzanne for the first time in Liverpool UK last year and was completely blown away by the best concert I had seen in 30+ years of gigging.

When an extra concert was announced in London in October, I had to be there, two days off work (no pay -self employed)  500 mile round trip, fuel and train/tube costs and two glasses of £7 champagne at the hall.  I would do it all again tomorrow.

Yeah, I know. I've looked at my financial situation from all angles. I've thought of everything but it just won't work. I want to see her live, I really do. I would go without a second thought if I could afford it but they are saying I will be chased by a debt collector if I don't pay them. I can pay them but I have to pay them with the money I would use to see Suzanne. I am really upset about this so I was wondering if she'll ever return to Australia.

    Hello,

First time sending a message here, but have enjoyed reading all your various personal insights and comments about Suzanne.  I agree with the poster before me, don't expect Suzanne to return, she was last here in 1993 right?  I didn't see her then, so this will be my first time.  You shouldn't have any problem obtaining tickets.  I moved across the country when Suzanne's concert dates were announced, so I missed hearing the announcement.  I called to book my tickets just a few days before Christmas.  I phoned as I assumed tickets would be mostly sold out and I'd be in the back row wastelands.  But I was surprised to find they had seats available closer than midway to the stage.  There has been little promotion here so perhaps that has something to do with it, the operator told be sales had been slow.

I'm new to Perth, so I don't know what the Burswood Theatre is like, but as others have noted, it does seem incongruous Suzanne playing all those dates at the various Casinos.  Well I feel very fortunate to have a chance to finally hear and have a glimpse one of my musical inspirations live, also managed to persuade my partner to come along.  He likes much of her material I play, especially from the "Nine Objects" era.  While I was trying on clothes in some department store "Frank and Ava" started to play, I didn't notice until he called out from outside, "Hey, it's the bidet song!"  :)  That gave me a chuckle I remember one such similar thread on this board when the song was first previewed.

Anyone else from undertow attending the concert in Perth?

    Hello!

Yes, I'll be at the Perth show - I got a ticket the day they went on sale and am in the third row (from memory!).  I'm very excited - haven't seen her before either.  I have brown skin, glasses, and will be fairly casually dressed - probably be wearing brown trousers and a white t-shirt with some music notation on the front.  The glasses will probably be "Harry Potter" glasses as the hot, humid, weather we've been having is making my more modern glasses cut into my nose - the 15 year old big round glasses are more comfortable for me!

It's a shame I don't have a partner/girl-friend at the moment, as I would have loved to introduce her music to them at a live gig.
