The multimedia clips have all been moved to a new server that
downgrades the quality to 64Kbps, prevents separate downloading, and
supports only Windows Media Player. It also offers no support for
streaming RealPlayer content, which is why many of the more obscure
video segments are now missing.
If you're using Windows 2000 or
later, and have Winamp installed, you may need to meddle with the file
associations to force your browser to select Windows Media Player for
mp3's and asf files (since the server actually seems to present the
content as an "asf" file). No, I have not tried
this... Seems like an unnecessary level of complexity to
foist on loyal fans.
The mp3 song clips are 30-45 second excerpts
in all but a handful of cases ("Lonely Avenue" being one of the more
notable exceptions).
