For any person that wants to keep tabs on the chair:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item =7589494873

    $500 as of the moment

Undertow etiquette: Since this is a charity auction and an "offical" Suzanne auction, feel free to bid against your fellow towies (it's for a good cause.)

    Uncwilly (not Website Will)
Song of the moment: Sunnyroad, Emiliana Torrini
Cheese of the day: Fleur du Maquis

I hope a towie ends up with it so that we can keep tabs on it years from now. I'd like to have it myself, but at $760.00, it's already out of my reach. Let's hope it finds a good home.

"djhamma" eh?... that does sound quite familiar.

    Never heard of him.

Even so, it's difficult to believe none of the other dedicated 'Towies have outbid him yet, especially with the weekly visits from Suzanne guaranteed to the winner.

(Really, it's there. Way down in the fine print. Honest.)

    :-)

    Dave!!!

You've been in hiding—glad to see you! Oh, I was just waiting a bit, now it's time to head to e-bay and see what's going on (since I jumped the gun the first time)!

Hope you're well and glad to see your name on the board again.

    Love, Catherine

A while back I was treated to a preview of the full selection of "Secret Closet Auctions" items. There was one particular piece that I want. I have been waiting for it to pop-up. It hasn't yet (IIRC about 1/2 of the things that I saw haven't yet been put on the block). Obviously, unlike some of the more lovely Towettes, I have no intention of wearing said item.

    >Catherine, is that you?

Yes, Zeynep! There must be another "woofiesmom" on e-bay, so I had to use this.

I did well with it on the "Secret Closet Auctions"—and Uncwilly, hopefully your item will show up, wearing it is not the point—enjoying it, is!

Although, I'm lucky enough to have worn my piece several times. It always gets rave reviews, I think things that are 'floor length' tend to generate a certain amount of attraction due to elegance.

I'd add a delicious sparkling red Lambrusco to that Parmigiano (I have, many times), it's absolutely delicious!

LOL!! Thank you, Annika—I doubt that I will:

    1. Most times people come swooping in in the last several minutes of an auction and outbid you...

    2. I'm not good at this e-bay thing at all....

    3. This part I would rather not address openly, but will send a note to your website explaining (I have no other e-mail address for you).

Anyway, we can all dream, right?

    Thanks for your encouragement!

    xx/Catherine

Thanks Corina! It would be nice if I could successfully log on to e-bay, though. Things are going from bad to worse here. :-(

    Congratulations Catherine!

Looks like you have won the chair. We look forward to seeing it modelled here...

Hope things have gone from bad to worse to better.

    Take care

    WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!!

    Dear Mike,

There's a great story behind this one, but I'm still kind of in shock. This afternoon I couldn't even log on to eBay, had trouble with Pay Pal stuff, and in general thought it was a totally lost cause.

Yes, they certainly have gone to better—thank you! Maybe you brought me luck (the day before your birthday)!!

Anyway, what better combo could I have won: Suzanne, Ruby and a new song in the mix—all wrapped up in a (handmade) chair!

A big thank you and a virtual hug to Melissa James (from the Grammy's) who cleared the path of thorns for me!

I promise it will have a good home, and a special spot, Suzanne!

    Much Love,
    Catherine
