Unfortunately no sighting but wondering if you went to the show last night? How was it?

Yeah, I went, watch the thread over here: 2007:06:05 - Hotel Cafe, Hollywood (Los Angeles)

You will get a chance at 2 good venues in Nov.  Wendy has been to both and one is down in Deb's old hood. Wink

Well, I was in a local Sizzler restaurant yesterday Sept. 11, 2007 and about 12:15 what do I hear?

    Frank & Ava!!!

What a treat to hear a nice SV song in such a pedestrian environment!  It would be cool to hear it on a pop radio channel.

I was in Mallorca in August 2007, driving a rental car, and on the radio they played "Luka." SV still has a great radio audience in Spain, evidently.

I have been spending a lot of time in Rovinj, Croatia recently as my husband has been having some dental work done there (it's less expensive than here in the UK).

I was there a few days ago and, whilst hurrying along the main street in a hurry to catch a ferry to a nearby beach, something made me stop and pay attention to some music emanating from a women's fashion shop. I was very surprised to find myself listening to Suzanne singing 'Ironbound'.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to stop and find out whether they were playing the whole album or just that track. The song continued to play in my head for the rest of the day though!

While shopping at my local Pick N Save yesterday afternoon, I thought the beginning of a song I was hearing over the speakers seemed somewhat familiar.  Took a few moments to realize the entire store was being treated to "Zephyr and I."  Very exciting to hear Suzanne "out there."

Well,  I  was getting ready to go to bed Sunday.  It was right after 10pm.  The new tv shows were coming on.  Figured that I would watch about a minute before heading to the bliss of sleep.  "Brothers and Sisters" with Emmy™ and Oscar® winner Sally Field (no 's'), came on and after the "previously seen" flashbacks, the new material came on.  To my pure delight, lightly in the background was "Zephyr & I".  It built and was quite in the foreground, such that by the time the sence shifted, it was the only sound noticable.

Made for a nice send off to bed.

Hey Zeynep!  That sounds like a fun place!

Here's an odd one: at my part-time job (wine associate @ Total Wine & More), they send us CD's which are played (constantly).  Kind of like The Gap, Banana Republic, or any place where they want you to shop to contemporary music (and not realize how much money you're spending) while you're humming away!

TW has close to 50 stores (over 8,000 international wines in each). About 3 weeks ago they sent a new CD. I couldn't even remember what I was saying to a man asking about an Amarone because Suzanne came on with "Frank & Ava'.  If that wasn't enough of a shock, as the day went on "Ludlow Street" and "Zephyr & I" followed and they've been playing them ever since.

If that's not a reason to go to work, I don't know what is!  Also floating around: Natalie Merchant, Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow, Lori Carson, Jann Arden, tons of Beth Orton and a lot of others I would never have expected. Someone in corporate must have good taste in music.

Sometimes I tear up a little when the songs come on—I don't know why...I feel proud and happy for Suzanne and my sappy side comes out. Doesn't stop me from singing along, though.  ;-)

Hope everyone is well—I'm drowning in Tow mail!

    Love, Catherine

While waiting for the Jeopardy online contestant trials to begin, I was warming-up playing an online game.  Wouldn't you know it, Suzanne was one of the choices to a musical question. Fun surprise.  Smiles,  ra

when i was packing my stuff a couple of months ago i found a cassete which was from 1990 - Hit Parade-. It had elton John's "Sacrifice", someone's "Lady in Red" ( i'm sure it must be famous, coz i keep hearing it anywhere and i still run away), and Suzanne's "Book of Dreams".
I recall it was through that cassete that i listened to the song for the first time. and being a 10year old child who enjoyed Bananarama, Sandra, Belinda Carlisle, and so on... i can vividly remember i didn't like the guitar tune in the song and wanted more bells in it. Actually, i wanted it to sound like a Christmas song (i love the song for years now, and i worship that specific album as my personal pagan God). .

well, i heard today about an archive website which seems to have virtually everything ever put on the net, and went to look for the first page of Vega.net. It didn't change in any way until 1999, when i discovered it for the first time. (and when i had internet for the first time, through a Sega Dreamcast) Here it is:

    http://web.archive.org/web/19961227093754/http://www.vega.net/

btw, the net correspondance of 1995 and earlier is still empty in the current forum. Luckily it's still here, also archived:

I had no idea Suzanne had been a receptionist ( do not ever underestimate my ignorance).  It's really cool to read some things that were projected and thought, but that got transformed along the way.

Well, I see that Undertow is using "Gianni" as name, may be the previous one. Anyway, cheers. Gianni alias Ivangion.

Our local news programme, 'South Today' on BBC1, had a feature yesterday where Georgie Palmer, who usually does the weather reports, tried her hand as a waitress.  Near the end they edited-in Tom's Diner, DNA version. You should be able to see it here:
