    Hi Ra and all,

The news of the coming new album is also great! And good timing as well!

Ra, you are talking about an LP, so you would expect that stuff completely analogue...  :)  So some bakelite...We will see the final product and its 'shape' in 2009 :)  I'm sure the new album will be wonderful - again!!

    wishing everyone a great day!

    best, Zoli

Oops !  Guess I dated myself with the "LP" :-)   I do prefer analog to digital -- richer tones with round waves, y'know.  But I'll take any of Suzanne's music in whatever form she chooses to share it in.  Bakelite?? what a great funny !!   Peace,  ra

What nasty remark did Rolling Stone say about SV in a Sheryl Crow article? It doesn't seem to be online. They've gone so culturally askew since the late 70's that I don't buy the mag anymore and flip through one only when bored at a coffee shoppe. Go get 'em, Suzanne. Any publication that would continue to have the likes of Peter Travers as their chief film critic needs to be spanked. You've seen his pun-heavy quotes on damn near every movie poster, newspaper ad and tv trailer. The man gears up to be quoted. I'm convinced that he talks in sound bites at home.

"Honey? That lasagna was an Italian fantasy smothered in gobs of spicy romance! The Must-Eat meal of this, or any other, evening!" - Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

Glad all else seems to be well in "Vegaville".

Oh Yay!!! Just read the blog where Suzanne says she might be playing in Central Park at Earth day, that makes me very excited!!!!

Why might I be excited since I live in Brisbane, Australia??  Coz I'm going to be in New York  from the 17th - 23rd April & the chance to hear Suzanne playin her own backyard would be so  cool. Ha it's taken me 25 yrs to see her live & now to think I might get to see her twice within 2 months is great!!!

Yay Suzanne hope to hear you play in New York!!

Glad that you had an Awesome time in our country, thanks for putting a smile on many faces

     God bless

    Gerry xo

To Phil: Wishing you a  quick recovery, ok? Though, that's not needed, since you will rise with full energy and strength in no time:). No virus can defeat you - all they can do is slightly prolongue an innevitable defeat. The virus chose the wrong person - it's a kamikaze virus.

Koalas are so lovely. But they'd be even cuter if they could speak something with Australian accent. Like, if they said : G'day mate. But i guess that would be the only thing they would say, and it would get annoying after a while, specially because of their face -  It would feel like mockery.

I am having a congregation of ridiculous thoughts in my mind right now,so i better leave.

    - Are you serious?
    - Yes, i am. I'm your guardian angel.
    - Amazing!I've never believed in that.Am i dead?
    - No. You're just hallucinating.

Paulo and Ra – “changing the set list drastically” possibly means you can both finally have your great desire of hearing Song of Sand “live”!!!

I’m sure the stripped down, trio shows will be fantastic! Out of the just 3 shows that I’ve been to, I must say that the best one for me was my first – at the Regattabar in Cambridge (Feb ’05) where it was just Suzanne and her bassist Richard Gates – partly because of the intimate setting, partly due to the excellent sound, but mostly because Suzanne played the guitar for almost every single song !!! Yes (except for three) and you could not only hear her beautiful voice but every chord being strummed, every note being plucked, every hammer on, ever so clearly!!! Ahhhhh! It was really heaven on earth for me!

Isn’t it exciting to look forward to a new album next year?  I wonder what kind of album Suzanne will eventually come up with next …… Whatever it will be Suzanne, I’m sure it’ll be something we’re gonna love! And after you’re done with that, you may want to consider a 3rd album with Blue Note with African sounds and rhythms (remember Paul Simon’s Graceland?) - then you can come visit me here! (by then it should be fairly safe!)

So what was that nasty remark in Rolling Stones? I’ve been hoping someone would post it. Has anyone read it? Once we know it, we can start barraging the mag with letters of complaint! Towies unite kind of thing. 2825

Hope all’s well with Phil and that he’s up and about by now….

    Blessings, Wendy

Wendy,  I don't know which made my heart soar more -- seeing your posts here again, finally, or the thought of hearing "Song of Sand" live.I might simply melt if that ever happened.

    Peace, Ra

Suzanne is a big Danger Mouse fan...So maybe he would produce album #8 who knows...

By the way , I came over this

old link where we learn that Blue Note could / would possibly ask Suzanne for a standard covers album?

Denis, thanks for the link. I agree, Suzanne could do some great covers collected for a full album. It could well work next to a full album of her own songs, so maybe we will be presented with both in the future:) Who knows? I guess Blue Note is quite receptive to both. They treasure quality, which Suzanne can deliver in both cases.

    best, Zoli
