Hi Suzanne! Sorry to hear about the disappointing sales of Beauty & Crime. :( However, think about it, sometimes it's not about the sales but the longevity of your albums. One can sell lots but their hype sizzle down pretty quick but yours will be fondly remembered in many years to come and you are definitely no one hit wonder! You still have many loyal fans who love you! :)
I hope to see you in Singapore very soon. I really don't know what I am going to do if I get to meet you! I know I will be very very nervous! Haha... Have a great 2008! :)

Suzanne, I'm glad the Singapore and Japan concerts went so well!! It must mean that the album sales there will probably be good! I have never been to either places, but I'm sure one day I will,- I heard they are wonderful! and in Japan, they have the same word order in names, just like in Hungary:) Looking forward to the new pics in Your blog! best, Zoli

Hi Suzanne. I'm a singer/songwriter who has been a fan since your self-titled album. I actually just recorded my own version of "Cracking." Would you like me to send you a copy, along with some of my other songs? I'd love your opinion!

It's lovely to read that Suzanne is enjoying this great country of ours. It even greater to hear that she's pleased with how the shows are going, with thanks to the promoter. Suzanne we hope you can grace our shores again before not too long, hope you enjoy the rest of your time in OZ. Fingers crossed that your health remains ok! Gerry :)

Thank you so much Suzanne for sharing your thoughts with us- I had no idea you were sick. I missed out on seeing you the last time you were in Sydney and have been waiting since then- in that time, I finished high school, a 6 year uni course and have been working 7 years. I joined Undertow, in its original form way back in my first year of uni. All our lives have changed so much since then. So last night was so special as it reminded me of the years where your music has been an ever-present soundtrack and comfort. The show was intimate and perfect- a show of secrets and revelations; of the new and the old. The stunning lyricism of Beauty and Crime was amplified with such clarity. And, whilst In Liverpool made me shiver with its ebb and flow, it was Rosemary that made me cry. All in all, it was such a wonderful culmination to all those years of waiting. I thought about this as I stood in line to meet you Suzanne- trying to think of something clever to say. Of course, when it came to it- it was all gushing and nothings. I actually think I muttered something to the effect of 'it has been so long' (that was not a reference to the sigining queue!). I'm sure you realise the impact you've had on the lives of the droves of loyal fans around the world- I hope you do. I do hope that the success of the Sydney concert means you will be back soon (though we all understand 24 hours is a lot of time to spend on a plane!!) Love Katie

suzanne, it's so great to hear you gush like this about the sydney gig. as for playing "rosemary" and then "bound" to close the show, i must confess that i've wondered how it would be, since in berlin i heard these exact same songs but in reverse order. they felt great then but i just imagined their impact if you changed their order. you say "it felt very emotional for some reason playing the music that way". and i hear you sing in my head: "all i know of you is in my memory, and all i ask is you remember me" and then "when i said: i am bound to you forever, here's what i meant: i am bound to you forever", probably repeating the word "forever", and i get shivers down my spine, because you're not just asking for (our) remembrance, you're saying that it's that remembrance that binds you (to us) forever. the bond is memory. wow, so emotionally powerful. much love, fátima

Hello Suzanne and the other guys who have left a message here. I was fortunate to go to the Sydney gig on the 30th, and was absolutely blown away by the experience. Suzanne and her band were excellent live. Hearing songs like 'Blood Makes Noise' with just vocals and bass really showed the musicianship of Suzanne; I was mesmerised throughout...The band was excellent and the sound quality was brilliant, by far the best live sound I have heard..
I am very sorry to hear you have not been well and that some doctor said you had accute appendicitis? I hope you have a speedy recovery and feel 100% soon, so please take care. Thinking of how much I enjoyed the performance and how kind you were to do signings after the show when you have been asked for next of kin details the day before, well!! You have a very genorous spirit. Thank you again for taking the time to sign my ticket and letting me have my photo taken with you. It was very special to me (understatement) as I have been a huge fan for about 16 years. I didn't have a TV when I was young so your records spent a great deal of time during my childhood baby sitting I guess...I didnt understand the lyrics but I generally got the feeling, I loved Toms Diner while 'In the eye' and "Wooden horse" used to scare me. Now that I am older I would like to think I understand your songs a whole lot more. Then I read a post like Fatima's and I listen to the songs again, always get me thinking.. (Thankyou Fatima) Thank you again for touring Aus!! I very much hope to see you again!!! Much Love and Appreciation (sorry about my ramblings) C.

Hi Suzanne and all, Suzanne, I'm so glad the Australian tour is a great success!! I'm sure the record sales are increasing there as well! and hoping the belly-ache is really over by now! As for Wendy, I and Suporn, and a friend at BBC have been trying to contact her for some days in different ways, but sadly it seems there is still no news of her... I'm really worried about Wendy, the situation is very dangerous in Kenya!! Fresh news on BBC is that 20 people have been killed today in Kenya in the latest wave of violence... A second opposition MP was killed (by the police) there on Thursday. So far over 900 people have been killed in Kenya, and over 250 thousand have fled, since the violence erupted in December, after the disputed election result... Hoping peace can return somehow, this spreading violence is really shocking!! Let's hope we will hear from Wendy soon!! Best wishes, Zoli

SV: "I was very moved by many of the stories people told me about their lives" That's what I always wanted to say here - I am getting positively obsessed every time reading precious real people life stories here. It's always struck me more than I can ever expect. It makes me kind of enlighted. Thank you, Towies.

Just a quick note to say that I’m safe and well here in Kenya! Thank you Suzanne and the other Towies who have expressed their concern for my well being. I do have problems getting online and staying online though because of power interruptions and limited access to the web. It’s not the best of times here but the situation I guess can only be grasped with an empathetic understanding of human nature – and knowing that beneath the hatred and violence is a more fundamental inclination to love. Do keep the people here in your prayers! And I truly appreciate those for me too! Blessings, Wendy

Thanks Wendy for letting us know you are ok. Looks like quite a few of us were getting worried. (You can disregard my urgent email now.) When possible, please send us a note -- our limited info about the troubles in Kenya only makes us worry more. Stay safe and well. Love, Ra

dear Wendy, It's such a relief to hear you are safe and ok!!! Frankly, as there was no news, no feedback, there was indeed chance for the 'worst'...You have been in my thoughts, and I have prayed for you and the people in Kenya! Take care there! best wishes and blessings, Zoli

congratulations for the closure of this wonderful tour. it was excellent and im sure there are so many wonderful moments to look back to; congratulations also for the Grammy to everyone who was involved in this great acomplishment; and also, just to express how excited i am to find out what will be the new setlist^^. Of course, i'm even more excited that you will begin writing for the new album soon. I have to thank Blue Note for the Spring 2009 possible release date, it's such an excellent idea^^
Can't wait for the "spoilers" of the new songs to start becoming public. Who said leaked classified info isn't good for everyone?(only sometimes...) Now, if only i could find a credible (non-profit) source...
Wish you a wonderful trip back home ^^ Paulo

It is a relief to hear good news from you, Wendy! And it is exciting to maybe get a new album next year. Believe me, my heart took an extra jump, when I read this in Suzanne's blog. Still can feel it pounding faster.
