Hi there, Who's going? :-) I have already tickets. So we need strong group under the name of Suzanne, hopefully shaking hands backstage after concert this time ;-) My dearest friend Joyz said she will be too. Lookiing forward to the concert and new, old, familiar songs. I hope that the Mayor of Szczecin does something with mosquoitos as the Summer Theatre is near the lake in Kasprowicz Park in the open air. According to WIkipedia the Summer Theatre is the biggest amphitheatre in Szczenin with the best dressing room and back. Not checked yet, because I have never been there before :-) See you!!!!! Love, Anna

I visited Szczecin at 28th of June (my best friend's wedding) and i saw a poster... Once more i heard about Suzanne's concert by accident!!!! Some nasty devil lets me know about this event in the last minute and leaves me confused and messed up, but its a kind of sign that it all happened like this and there are still a few days left :) I missed Suzanne's meeting with fans at Kongresowa last year, so i'm not going to make the same mistake again ! I'm goingt to Szczecin and im with you as a part of PTT (Polish Towies Team :) to meet Suzanne backstage, of course if She would be so kind to find some time for us :). I will probably will travel from Warsaw by train, but if anyone is going tere by a car ( a big one) and wants some company or spare driver on the road- i'm in!!! Warmest Greetings to all Towies in Poland and all over the globe!!! Dominik

Well, around 1050 km long trip made in 20 hours is over : -) The concert in Szczecin was wonderful. Suzanne, Mike and Doug did their best and sounded wonderfully together. The weather was very nice. Fortunately not so hot as it was during the day. I decided not to write set list, because I don’t want to spoil your impression over possible future night for those who will attend Suzanne’s concert this year :- ) I only say that there were 3 songs from “Suzanne Vega”, 4 songs from “Solitude Standing”, 4 songs from “99,9 F” !!!!!!, 3 songs from “Nine Objects of Desire”, 3 songs from “Songs in Red and Gray”, 2 songs from “Beauty & Crime”, Left of Center” and only one songs from “Days of Open Hand” which is favorite to me these days, while listening to it almost every day at dawn at 4 am and making beautiful beginning of each day:- ) I simply love performance. It was my third concert and the best one I’ve seen. The set list was the best I ever heard. It was thrill to listen to so many old, but new songs. Suzanne’s voice was just great and some of arrangement of “difficult” to play life songs was just marvelous. Some songs I heard life for the first time and they sounded wonderfully played by this trio. After concert we met Suzanne (Joyz, me and Dawid). My dreams come true. As usually I behave silly but Suzanne was very kind in comparison to my sort of social wilderness, what makes me unhappy, ashamed and sort of unfulfilled. Sorry about that, but the meeting on my part was the same as my whole life is, reserved and shy, while hiding my strong emotions :- ) I am only strong and brave typing at my computer, but it is something too, isn’t it? ;- ) Thanks again, Suzanne, Mike, Doug, Phil and the rest of team for wonderful, unforgettable night. Love, Anna Maria K.

Well, my friend Anku wrote everything, so there is not much (nothing much) left for me :)
I couldn't come to the Kongresowa Hall in Warsaw to see Suzanne last year, so the concert in Szczecin was my first one. Yeah, we've made a long trip together with Anku, and Dawid too :D But it was worth it, I've enjoyed every single second of this amazing performance. Suzanne played all my favorite songs (no, I won't write the set list neither, you should've been there and see for yourself, as Anku said) and enchanted me with her poetry completely… again :)
What can I say? I love Suzanne even more now ;) Maybe it's all about those cat's eyes, maybe it's that gentle but somehow powerful shake of her hand... and yes, definitely The Voice :)
Thank you, Suzanne, for coming – see you next year.
Not to be against, but to gain together

The Setlist in Szczecin was: Rock In This Pocket Stockings Cracking Caramel When Heroes Go Down Pornographer's Dream Gypsy Penitent Fat Man and Dancing Girl Left of Center Room off the Street Blood Makes Noise Solitare Queen and the Soldier Frank and Ava Marlene on the Wall Luka Tom's Dinner ENCORE: World Before Columbus It Makes Me Wonder That was the best setlist i could imagine most of this song I heard first time live. Rock in this pocket, Fat Man and Dancing Girl, Room of the street, Cracking and World before Columbus songs sounds superb, I was very enjoy this Gig i think acoustics and whole presentation of that concert was outstanding. I saw Suzanne, Mike and Doug third time and i must tell that the last time was the best time:) That gig was very diverse and complete, Suzanne sings at least one song from every album it was great when Doug played Rock in this pocket and Mike bass playing in stocking and Suzanne Claping the rythm of room of the street. They found good contact with crowd in song called Solitare when everybody was claping, encore was suit very well for me World before columbus one of my favorite song and It makes me wonder which gives delight to the audience. After the conversation with Phill he invite us backstage. Me, Anku and Joyz will be able to speak with Suzanne for a while, Suzanne told us that in a close time she upload some acoustics songs and remakes of an old osngs in the internet and album should come out in about one and a half year and she hope that She will be playing in Poland again in next year. http://rs179cg.rapidshare.com/files/127001154/1029859/20080703_003_.jpg This is the link to the photo of me and Suze after the show, everytime when i see Suzanne she look younger how she do it:) Greetings

Hi Anna Maria K. and all, thanks for your great descriptions and the setlist. The gig must have been wonderful and amazing indeed! I have hoped to go to Suzanne's concert on Friday (near where parts of my family live) but I can't go, I am still breast-feeding my child and it won't be a nice evening for everybody involved if I'm not with her ;)
So, have a nice evening, and Suzanne, if you play "left of center", please think of me - I will be probably sitting on the sofa with my child on my knees an listening to your music on CD. And a wonderful evening for everyone in the audience, too! Have fun! I'll be there the next time, too!
Nothing much (not much) Moni. (a sad listener but happy mom)

Thank you Dawid for the set list and for sharing your wonderful evening with Suzanne, Doug ad Mike, and to the others who shared their great Szczecin (however that's pronounced!) concert experience! It's indeed a fantastic line up! Cracking and Penitent on the same night would be double heaven for me! Anku, you're quite a tease - for a moment I thought you were going to start another game - Guess what songs were in the set list! Thanks again Dawid!
If you want peace, work for justice.
