This is the 5th song that I have discovered tonight in my quest to assure that all songs on all of SV's regular studio albums have a discussion/thread of their own on this section of the 'Tow. This is also the 3rd song on this album to not have had a thread generated so far, making this, in terms of % of songs on album having their own discussion on this section of the Tow, album seemingly her least popular (though I have not yet looked at the "Songs in Red and Gray" threads, so I cannot be too sure, yet), and this falls in line with the post I made a couple of days ago that analyzed and summarized the results to date of the "Top 10 favorite songs" poll I started a week or two ago.

All of that qualifying aside, I have to say that although it is not one of my more favorite SV songs, it is definitely, I feel, one of her most unique and distinctive. I have also known at least one person who thought that this was perhaps the best song on the album. The idea is a little unusual and unique, of course, and the music does, I think, a good job of creating the appropriately haunting tonality that befits the haunting meaning behind the song. Any observations/thoughts?

This is one of my favorites. That we didn't discuss it before nor your poll can say anything really about the popularity of the song.

I really really really like this one. I love the stoyr it's telling, and the very haunting slow almost theramin-y sound it has here and there. Very haunted sounding. Prolly my fave song on the album.

Same comment as above: I love the story as much as the subtle atmosphere created by the music. It sounds a bit like a lullaby to me, a lovely and soothing one. I've always been a sucker for ghost stories, so I was bound to pay extra attention to the lyrics of that song. I especially love all that's hinted in the passage that goes: "What happened in that room he asked/A death or something strange?/She smiled to him politely and returned to him his change".

I love this story. When I listen this song I feel warm. I don't know why. But this song is magic and intriguing . When we sleep so close together ..
