To the Undertow:
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes for my myself and for Ruby!! It was a real treat to be at home for a change and I had a great day.
So the album is finally out! It has been so exciting over the last week reading all the press and your comments, and hearing what everyone has to say about this album, which was a "figment of my imagination" for so many years! Thanks so much, and I will see you at the shows coming up (there are a lot of them).
Kisses,
Suzanne Vega

Suzanne, I got B&C yesterday and have not turned it off since ! It is a delightful, hearthwarming and heart-wrenching CD. I saw you at the Hotel Cafe in Hollyweird in June, and so appreciate having heard these songs directly from you before getting the CD. What a treat to be introduced to this newest music with your accompanying comments. Looking forward to seeing your show at the El Rey in November. Thank you. Stay well. Peace, Ra

I wasn't able to go online for about a week or so and fought my way through hundreds of e-mails today... And so, I missed the chance to sent my birthday wishes in time, but nevertheless like to add my very very belated best wishes for both Suzanne and Ruby, may all your heartfelt wishes come true! And congratulations to all the others who had their birthday or even wedding day in the last ten days! ;) Nothing much (not much) M.

Hi Suzanne! I would like to congratulate you again on your newest album; I live in Israel, and I don't know when the album will arrive here (probably way after it has been released in all the other countries), but I hope it gets here soon... Now I hope this isn't too "far-fetched" to ask, but I am wondering if you can somehow arrange to come back and perform in Israel sometime... I missed your performance in Tel-Aviv in 1999, but I would really love the chance to see you on stage live! Do you think this is possible? Please consider it... Thank you, Lilach

Hi there. Well, I`d love to join Lilach, please do come! in 1999 it was suppose to be one show and ended up in three, do you remember? you got some great fans here, we`d love to have a show, flying to Europe is too expensive :-p (And Lilach, you can get the album at Tower records) Cheers, Shuki

Well thank you Shuki!! :) It really means a lot to me to have another Israeli support me on the issue! Suzanne really should come to play in Israel at least one more time... that's how you and I feel and I know there are other Israelis out there who agree with us... Maybe if Suzanne sees that she is admired by enough Israeli people she will agree to arrive here again! Anyway, you say the new album is available at Tower records? That's great; I'm going to hop over there as soon as I can! ;) Cheers to you as well, Lilach

Nice shot. Keep them coming (please?). The new album is simply terrific. I hope that Blue Note treats you well. They've done pretty good for Norah...um...whatsername?

Me again. Just listened to part of B&C on my way in to work. Nice packaging & photos, lush production, and Suzanne, how is it that your voice sounds as good as it did 20+ years ago??? Must be that NYC water.
Glad to see KT Tunstall in there, as she is one of my favorites.
Great job, congrats! Looking forward to my ride home! penny

hi Suzanne `wish you're alright~ i thought to myself how great it can be to hear you live, (and when i saw your birthday cake on the stage, i felt how nicely cool can it be, since it always seems to me something "heavy", while it's so humanly flowing), and maybe it'll be possible for me in less than a year...but i thought i'll be able to translate your poems before leaving here (as i wrote about it before), but seems there'll be no support for it from there (no reply to my last email from your team, neither you), so , i simply let it go, maybe it's not destined to be done... always admirer sarmen PS lately i was hearing "my favorite plum" for maybe 100 times~ , how did it came to you? it's miraculous. i love it when the thin border between "song" and "poetry" is being removed, and it happened there. a poetic "happening".

Hi there, Vega World, i have received "Beauty and
Crime" today from the post. Usually i buy records because of a
special song i've heard before. In the case of Suzanne i know i always
go for sure. So there's no need for a previous preference.
What can i say, after a first listening, my prefered is "Ludlow
street". There are songs that stick on you, and for a while
they run into your mind as if the player were always switched on. those
are the best songs. From Suzanne i have "Ironbound, Fancy Poultry" as
my best example. Anyway i will end up loving almost all the songs of
the album :-). Suzanne: please bring Ruby to your concert
in Mainz :-). It's summer vacation i hope she did the homework, so that
she can sing together with her mother near to the Rhin's riverbank.
It's been raining the whole summer. Let's hope the weather is nice next
saturday.
best regards,
Kaspar Hauser

Okay, I have a question for Suzanne herself if she would answer it, about the album. I downloaded it. I like it. I want to have it and pay for it.
So do I go out and buy the CD, or is there some way I can just pay you for it?

Hi Suzanne. After many years as a fan, I finally managed to catch you live at Amager Bio, Copenhagen. Best concert experience ever! Intimate-Lyrics and Sound-Perfection. Don't Know why danish people only clap their hands after a song and not during, and why they feint and sneeze uncontrolably at concerts - Strange (and ultrasensitive people)... Thank you, from the front row (almost) Andreas
Love your new album.
