everybody says this song is about AIDS.... but well for me it seems it's 'bout drugs...

my little own story... AGES ago I was with my friend and we were both on "something" ( never mind it, yeah ? ) and I was feeling really bad. I was almost like "i'm going to die", I felt my heart beating... and my friend put on this song on repeat ( the good soul knew I liked it ). First it really freaked me out, but than I found myself being driffted into it, it felt like it was about me in that very minute.

well, I'm over my teenage experiments now.

Yeah this song can basically be about a lot of different things. I always think about this song when I have a severe headache. Or when I'm not feeling well but can't find a reason for it.

Anyway if you're interested in what Suzanne has to say about it go here: http://rustedpipe.vega.net/blood_makes_noise.htm

"It's a ringing in my ear!"

the ringing of an ear is an obscure, but age-old symptom of connection to the infinite. A spiritualist would attribute such a ringing to the actions of "Chi"

Meanwhile, a logical doctor would attribute the same ringing to "Tinnitus"... a fancy word for "unexplained ringing in the ear."

I like to think that the flippancy in this song is a function of her spirituality, not quite trusting the two-dimensional mindset of the good Doctor.

Haveing only been conected to the internet for a couple of weeks now, Im hesitant to rush in, but I love being here.
To me, Blood Makes Noise paints a picture of a person in a psychiatric ward. It seems they are so deluded and full of fears that the sound of there heart and blood pumping is interpreted as a marching army or a war drum.
The silence never returns, if there is silence, the patient hears his heart again and its more intense, creating more fear... the circle continues.
The din in the head is too much, tell a doctor,, um ,no way.,they'd be in there forever.

I also think other songs on 99.9 can be interpreted thru the eyes of a person suffering a psychiatric illness.

not my favorite Suzanne track but...thats my interpretation, and....bad wisdom does exist.
    berndog.

Just registered, said to for corispondance, so here goes...

I'm sort of kind of remixing this song, for fun, and I've got a lot of it down except the guitarish rift which I've had to sample in to get right since I can't seem to otherwise. Seems like its 2 measures long, but I think there is more then just a guitar going on it actually. I'm hearing about 3 seperate parts/voices it seems like in it, and I've got some down, but I can't quite match all the notes for each part. Anyway, is there sheet music, a midi file, anything out there I can use that would help me for that?
