Well this is certainly a seductive tune. Perhaps indicative of someone's fantasies?

Seductive in the sense that i would be tempted to brush the dust off my headshot and resume to appear in a video for this, whether it was made for MTV, VH-1, or for the privacy of Suzanne's own home.

    ...especially the latter

I've been thinking about this song myself lately. It seems to embody one of Suzanne's recurring themes, that of role-playing. She seems to enjoy imagining different possibilities given any situation or scene in front of her. Other songs such as Some Journey, Room Off the Street, and even In Liverpool also address this theme. Can anyone think of any other songs that address the issue of role-playing, or imagining different possibilities?

    Brady,

There are many. Just take the first album. In "Freeze Tag", she tells a companion "I will be Dietrich and you can be Dean". In "Small Blue Thing", she's an object "lost inside your pocket".

So if you wanna role play that one with her, just carry a photo or a CD of her in your pocket....

Suzanne takes another role in almost every song...the most salient example is Luka I guess. Tom's Diner, where she takes the role of a photographer, right?
Those songs are most talked about in interviews, so I remember them well :-).

This is one of my favorites, I like the gangster line, "explaining to the jury that you hadn't done anything...yet."
    brilliant :-)
