Does anyone have, or know where I can find, chords and/or tablature for "Black Widow Station"? I've looked all over the web for this but no joy. This may be because, AFAIK, this was only released as a live B-side on one of Suzanne's early singles (in the UK anyway) and perhaps isn't one of her best known songs...? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
PS. Great forum - lots of interesting stuff!

Somewhere I might still have a bootleg tape from back in the early eighties. I thought the song at the time was Black Widow Spider. Anyhow, If I can find it someday I will post the lyrics

I thought this song TOTALLY rocked. Totally boot-stompin folk borderline country.

I won an original "Live in London" CD a few years back on ebay and paid a shitload. Only to lose it in 2002 by leaving it in a rental car where the people who hurried me out of the car when I returned it didn't give a damn about going back and checking on it and trying to save it for me.

This is a shame b/c not only "Black Widow Station", but that live copy of "Knight Moves" make that rarity worth craploads, if you ask me.

Then I had to pay yet again for the LP on ebay and I had to pay yet again to get it transferred to CD and then I had a car accident a few months ago and that CD was up front and is probably broken (the cars are still impounded pending investigation, but will be released soon) and the LP is probably ruined too.

Any towies wanna take pity on me?

Anybody is looking for a "Black Widow Station" release, I'd like to say you should better look for the Small Blue Thing LTD double 7" single thingy. The recording and arrangements in the London School of Economics are (I think) much better than the ones in the Picadilly theatre on Live in London.

I stumbled upon this song completely by accident many many years ago. I was fumbling thru a second hand record shop, and came accross a "Live in London" album, I hadnt then heard "Black Widow Station" but not owning a copy of "Left Of Centre",I held it close to my chest and paid the four bucks.
"Black Widow Station" absolutely rocks my socks off. The chord progression seems to be very Blues orientated though, which is slightly left of centre for Suzanne, we dont see her use to many Magor chords in this way.
Great song to get the friends in your house lively when its time to go out though.
