    Hi.

    Probably i asked that ages ago already and there has probably also been a lengthy explanation...
    But I remember seeing Suzanne perform songs from DOOH prior to the album release when they showed some clips from various festivals...
    There and then, she announced a new song called CUBA which later appeared as Room Off The Street on DOOH.
    Is there a story related to the old title (I CAN see the connection....) and why Suzanne changed it later on?

    Or is my memory completely blurred and I'm getting things mixed up here?

    Cheers,

    Rolf

    No, the live version Room off the Street on the single Tired of Sleeping is announced as Cuba. I believe the story of the song is set in Cuba.

    Here I have it;

    "Room Off The Street" was originally called "Cuba." It was what I imagined Cuba might feel like at some point. The feeling of giving your life for the cause, and how it incites all sorts of passions that don't have to do with the politics but with the feeling in the air. The poster of the man with his hand in a fist was a recurring image in the posters we had at home.

    This song is so damn wonderful.
    Maybe I can solve exactly why someday.

    The wind kicks up with the smell of rain
    The kids are gone but the souls remain
