I saw there were some NYC dates we were away, any chance of some long Island dates? You should relate to having kids, it's hard to get into those small clubs in the city when you have little ones and live out on long Island. in the 'old days' I used to go all over to see you (i'm only 3 years younger than you) but sadly in terms of my ability to get to concerts my life is not as flexible now. (but I wouldn't trade my children or the experience of having them for anything).
I just read the reviews of your CD and was so sorry to learn of your brother and the difficult years you went through. I have had more than my share of miserable years-I took/learned from mine and have a career that makes use of it in a positive way.(I am a doctor) I however can not create beautiful music that reaches millions of people.
I also had not seen the dedication on the song about Edith Wharton because I have been listening to the CD without reading the inside (unlike me but I am burried in paper work) but I KNEW who you were referring to just by the content of the lyrics. My mother (now gone) had her first face lift in her early 40's!!! and no she did not need it! I heard Dr. Phil ask someone on TV ( no I don't watch him I was flipping channels for my son) 'do you have any ugly friends?' and I wanted to put my face through the tv and scream 'if someone is your friend, then how can they be ugly?!!!'
Anyway way off topic. Any Long Island dates? I have many memories of small long Island clubs and clubs on the east coast and NYC. Just hoping! Meanwhile the CD is beautiful, as is your entire body of work. Thank you, you must know you provide comfort for many during dark moments, and joy for them as well. (as well as joy and pleasure for people when they are feeling ok!)
