Have you ever felt one of those moments where everything in the world seems perfectly in place. A moment you'd wish it would never finish, because for once it all makes sense, and an overwhelming beauty is all you can feel?
Maybe you can even raise over the feelings and understand the moment will soon be over, and after it you will look back not remembering anymore why it was so special.
I believe life is made of one-time-things that happen a lot. However they're all different, all intense, all special, all unique. The feelings we live during one of them can't be carried with us, just like an object caught in a dream doesn't follow us to reality. In both cases we're only left with a memory, and maybe a question: "how can I go back to that moment in my mind?" The answer is just one: "we can't". Life moves onwards, to another dream, to another unique moment.
So each one-time-moment conceals also some sad beauty. A nostalgia coming from realising its uniqueness and its ephemerality. Like a butterfly whose life span is only one day. Like a moment of love that has its full meaning only while it lasts. Like the playing of an improvised melody that can never be repeated.
Like these lines, that only made sense to me while I was writing them... or maybe only when I imagined them...
