When I click on the "clips", my winamp player pops up with the song listed, but the song doesn't start playing. Does anyone have any idea why? Also, can anyone tell me if these are full songs or just fragments of songs?

    Thank you.

The multimedia clips have all been moved to a new server that downgrades the quality to 64Kbps, prevents separate downloading, and supports only Windows Media Player.  It also offers no support for streaming RealPlayer content, which is why many of the more obscure video segments are now missing.

If you're using Windows 2000 or later, and have Winamp installed, you may need to meddle with the file associations to force your browser to select Windows Media Player for mp3's and asf files (since the server actually seems to present the content as an "asf" file).  No, I have not tried this...   Seems like an unnecessary level of complexity to foist on loyal fans.

The mp3 song clips are 30-45 second excerpts in all but a handful of cases ("Lonely Avenue" being one of the more notable exceptions).

Also worth noting is that the formerly rather extensive collection of audio interviews is now nowhere to be found. :(

    *Sigh*

    Thanks for the reply.

For 30-45 second clips, I probably won't make any additional effort to play them. I don't understand why this site (or other sites such as amazon) bothers to have pages of song fragments. I don't believe that hearing 30 seconds of a song is going to tell you enough about it to want to purchase it. And what's the point of hearing a few seconds of a live performance or rare song that you can't buy anywhere?

That's too bad about the audio interviews. Perhaps they will repost them eventually.

The audio interviews will be added at a later date, we'll let you know when they go back up.

The audio clips are intended to be samples of the songs so that fans can get a taste of Suzanne's music.

However, starting soon we will be exclusively streaming full length tracks from Beauty & Crime!
