Any comments or criticism on the following set of lyrics would be appreciated.

    Quietly Somewhere
    }
    I walked out this morning
    With history on my side
And saw the full moon hanging
Like a peach shot at the sky
    I admit my dependence
On these fences, alleys and trees
    With their ritual protection
In the sameness of this beat.

    (Chorus)
I need to take the time
    To sit quietly somewhere
I need to take the time
To find the stillness in the air.

    Every morning I pass through
The smell of sugar and yeast
    Like daybreak’s sweet reminder
    Of the discipline I need.
    I listen for the woodpecker
Who works this grid of streets
Like the small ghost of disarray
Plotting high up in the trees.

    (Chorus)

    Headlights around the corner
Glare with the future and past
As if I only see the world
From behind a pane of glass.
I need to let this moment go
So I can move on to the next
    But it’s not always easy
    To focus on each breath.

    (Chorus)
