Hi Suzanne and all,
Suzanne, that was enjoyable to read!!! Thanks for the 'picturing'.
Hoping Chris was around-at least his camera-to picture Mike in that special dance!! Sounds it was a great evening!
-One funny sight was Tim, who does backline for us, but also plays
classical guitar, comparing nails with the friend of my father’s wife
Linda.-
I'm fortunate that my nails are strong enough. They don't break, but this is important only in the case of my right hand fingers as i have those 'long' nails to play my acoustic guitar. I need to file them from time to time.Sometimes it's two weeks, sometimes more... so i don't do that so often. However, when they are 'longer' than necessary, they can have disadvantegous effect on playing.(somehow you lose your sense of distance between the strings). So i tend not to postpone
that filing thing.
(i have just done that -i mean two days ago- so my next Tuesday solo performance evening at Le Jardin de Paris should be 'without problem'. The place is in Fo street in Budapest, below the Buda Castle, near the French Institute.)
Interestingly, sometimes i need to tell those surprised or interested that i have these longer nails only on one hand, because i play the guitar with them that way, and i also soon add that i don't paint them...
-I forgot to mention yesterday how Doug and Mike were playing Lizard
Man, where Mike would wave a piece of salad in the air and Doug would
get down on all fours and waddle slowly across the floor, blinking his
eyes and flinking his tongue out of his mouth. Their routines are
getting more surreal as the tour goes along.-
I'm sure, by the end of a tour,
very well acted scenes are formed. Then at home,of course, the comparisons can come with the real lizards, under
Ruby's direction.
Is Doug vegetarian anyway?
best,
Zoli
