Suzanne Vega

This is from a mythic Tv show called "Lunettes noires pour nuits blanches", known because it was one of the first tv show in France that used to do very special interviews with the artists: everything was about very private life and all the things they didn't use to tell when they were in promo tour.

I really didn't remember that Suzanne has been there. It's very cool to watch it today

In France, "mythic" often means that it's legendary!!

During the 90's (and even in the beginning of the 2000's), I didn't think that I could see Suzanne live. Shows in France were very, very rare, and most of the time, they were in Paris. So, I've always thought that she will be one of those artists I'll never see.

Finally, I saw her 3 times in 3 years, and have been able to spend a little time alone with her backstage few years ago…More that I expected!!!

During the Days of Open Hand Tour, Suzanne played "Institution Green", but I don't remember any live version of "Big Space". I have a lot of recordings of this era, especially from the German tour, and this is a classic set-list:
