Hi Towies:
Thanks for writing in last week! It was great doing David Letterman last week, they were very gracious. They didn't refer to 9-11 during the whole show - it was a conscious decision on their part - they said they wanted our performance to be a "beautiful, subtle reference" and I appreciated that they chose us to do that. We got a good response from all over the country (and the world, actually!) and thanks to all you guys who wrote in!
I know I said I was going to keep a tour diary and I am - I have been playing around with the iWeb software, which is so much fun! I want to make something really cool so hold on tight and we will create a link from the Suzannevega.com website to my personal iWeb blog and I can upload all kinds of stuff from my own computer. So hang tight. Come out and see us on the road.
With affection, Suzanne

In August 2006, Suzanne became the first major recording artist to perform in avatar form in the online virtual world Second Life. The event was a huge success and Suzanne had a great time doing it. To celebrate the upcoming North American release of Beauty & Crime, which comes out July 17, Suzanne will be returning to her avatar form for a very special, one-of-a-kind Second Life virtual listening party. Suzanne will be hanging out and chatting with other Second Life members on the virtual Ludlow Street, one of many NYC locales that inspired the songs on Beauty & Crime. This event will take place on Friday July 13 at 7pm ET, 4pm Second Life time. Every visitor will receive a free player for Beauty & Crime, which can be used to outfit their avatar or to host a listening party of their own. Second Life users can also create their own musical street graffiti, explore the sounds of the city, and watch concert footage recorded live at the Hiro Ballroom in New York. Second Life attendance to this event is by invite only. You can request an invitation through Cruxy. Users without Second Life capability will be able to access a web-based live stream during this event and a recording of this event will be posted by Cruxy at a later date.
